The Story:

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a clever and cunning jackal. One day, while wandering in search of food, he accidentally stumbled upon a vat of indigo dye in a dyer’s house. The curious jackal fell into the vat, and when he emerged, he was completely blue from head to toe.

The Blue Jackal, as he became known, soon realized the advantages of his new appearance. He tricked the other animals in the forest by claiming to be the Fierce Owl, sent by the king of the Gods, Indra, to protect the forest.

The gullible animals were impressed by the Blue Jackal’s trick and fell for his claims. They offered him food and shelter and appointed him as their king. The Blue Jackal appointed the Lion as his Prime Minister, the Tiger as his guardian of the bedchamber, and the Elephant as his doorkeeper. He even drove all the other jackals out of the forest, fearing recognition.

Living a life of luxury, the Blue Jackal was happy with the way things were going. He distributed food among the animals equally, and they all lived in harmony. However, one day while a herd of jackals was passing by, they began howling loudly. The Blue Jackal couldn’t resist his natural instincts and let out a howl that revealed his true identity.

Feeling betrayed and angry, the animals attacked and killed the Blue Jackal on the spot. They learned an important lesson that it’s always better to be honest and true to oneself rather than deceiving others for personal gain.

Conclusion:

The forest returned to normal, and the animals continued to live their lives with newfound wisdom.
